When I came into the office and started to review some of the examples I noticed that the images being used by one of the companies looked really familiar. So I started to explore. I went to my flickr page and noticed that the images being used by the company were my pictures. (My images are All Rights Reserved)Not sure how to react to this. At first I was a little annoyed but the more I think about it it is kinda funny.
I know it is easy to get images off of Flickr, but you want to be careful that the persons images your are taking does not work for the place you are sending the proposal.
How would you react to this? (Images they used posted below) (Click image to see larger view)

Ouch!!
ReplyDeleteScott very interesting. This happens to me all the time with flickr and agencies.
I personally think it's a below the belt tactic that these companies practice, but unfortunately we're not going to stop it.
All my images on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/fjgaylorphotography are under the "all rights reserved" license also, but it doesn't seem to stop people from ripping them off.
My biggest complaint is that these agencies/vendors are making money off my images period!!
As far as the situation you are in at Wooster, you should definitely call them out. But they will have a quick response to the situation and it will go away.
best of luck, interested to see how this turns out.
